About Dorfner USA
Founded in 1990, ACS International Products LP, based in Tucson, Arizona, has been part of the German Dorfner Group since 2017. The company is one of the leading manufacturers in the USA for decorative, organic fillers made from polyester resin granules. The products are mainly used in the manufacture of bathroom and sanitary products, furniture and other cast polymer applications. The company has size reduction and mixing facilities as well as a modern laboratory to ensure quality control and research and development in all product lines.
Dorfner USA produces a wide range of products including: Poly Stone™ spray granites, Dura Stone® fillers for solid surfaces, Poly Chips® components for solid surfaces, and Featherlite®, an ultra-lightweight line of fillers. Dorfner USA also offers functional mineral fillers for composites and industrial flooring.
Our products are versatile and can be used in various areas such as commercial properties, swimming pools, floor coverings and a wide variety of surfaces.
Markets and applications
Combines the look of stone with the strength and reliability of plastic-based materials. Durastone® is the solution for demanding customers looking for variety in color. It is a prefabricated, uniform filler for Solid Surfaces that combines the look of marble with the strength of man-made materials in preset colors. It allows manufacturers to create their own solid surface materials. Durastone® offers designs for almost every need.
Applications:
Poly Stone™ now offers 29 new colors known as Splash™. Particularly suitable for pool and spa applications, Splash™ colors feature reflective particles that differentiate them from standard colors. Poly Stone™ uses the best raw materials in a patented process (patent no. 5,588,599). UV, fire, chemical and stain resistant, Splash™ colors are ideal for outdoor applications and provide long-lasting, beautiful designs. These decorative, flat acrylic glitter particles can be used alone or mixed with other chips. They improve the color and texture effect of the surface and require less material than spherical polymer chips. Ideal for gelcoat spray applications in composites or manual scattering on epoxy floors. Can also be used in casting processes, although they can become smaller during mixing. Uniform and pre-mixed color blends are available.Stone Flakes™ are flat, decorative acrylic glitter particles (~5 mil) that can be sprayed directly onto the surface with various materials such as clear gelcoat, polyurethane or epoxy. They are suitable for color design in cast polymers or to achieve unique granite effects, especially in combination with Poly Chips® or Poly Stone®.

The Featherlite® range has been developed to improve the production process and enhance the performance of end products. As the name suggests, Featherlite® is an ultra-lightweight filler formulated for cast polymer applications to reduce product weight and lower manufacturing costs through reduced resin consumption.
The Featherlite series currently comprises
– FL-20, with a weight reduction of 20 % and a resin requirement of 27 %
– FL-30, with a weight reduction of 30 % and a resin requirement of 37 %
– FL-50, with a weight reduction of 50 % and a resin requirement of 47 %
– FL-1700 is a concentrate that offers a variable weight reduction of 5 to 50 % depending on the amount added
– FL-1500 is similar to the FL-1700 product line, but has a lower true density and offers better cost savings.
Each product in the Featherlite range is ready to use and can be mixed with resin. Only a standard marble resin is required to use Featherlite. With its bright white color that requires little or no titanium dioxide, Featherlite is an attractive alternative to other products on the market.
